The Communication Research Institute of William Penn University is a non-profit educational organization in Oskaloosa, Iowa. Working in close partnership with the William Penn University Digital Communication Department our mission is to inform and educate the people of Mahaska county on the issues and opportunities in their immediate area. All CRI programming is televised through Mahaska Communications Group on MCG cable channel 12. Along with televised transmission CRI also uploads all of its original content to this website www.CRItv.org, also known as www.criwmpennu.org.
The Senior Producers of CRI are all post-collegiates who receive compensation for their work; however, CRI works with college students at William Penn University in Oskaloosa as well as Video Production students at Oskaloosa High School. If you live in the Oskaloosa area and feel qualified to work at CRI feel free to contact us.
CRI currently produces a bi-monthly newscast called "CRI Weekly News," and produces all the government meetings in town. That includes the Mahaska County Board of Supervisors meeting, the Oskaloosa Community School District Board meeting, and the Oskaloosa City Council meetings.
