July Focus: Crosswalk Usage
What you need to know:
Pedestrians
-Use crosswalks where designated-Obey all “Walk/Don’t Walk” signals
-When crossing the street outside of a crosswalk, yield to all vehicle traffic
-Use sidewalks when available, if no sidewalk, walk along farthest left side of street
-Violations are subject to fine in excess of $80
Motorists
-Pedestrians have right-of-way at all intersections-Failing to yield to pedestrians is subject to fine in excess of $100
